First grade is a very crucial year in a child's education. Prereaders and beginning readers begin to be able to read independently.
Basic addition and subtraction facts become routine. The student begins to get a sense of self and how they fits into the world
through social studies and science classes. At Chee Dodge we have four first grade teachers: Ms. Melissa Becenti,
