SFA is a research-based reading program, taught to students from Pre-school through the fifth grade. Students are placed in different reading levels according to their reading abilities. SFA is taught every day from 8:10 to 940 am The program emphasizes reading outside of the school setting.  Children who read 20 minutes at home each evening will be better readers and will have better writing skills than those who don't.

Encourage your kids to read every night. Students are asked to read 20 minutes per night....every night. Many of our students are not meeting this goal.
When you take time to read with your child, ask them questions about the story:

What do they think will happen?
Why did the main character act that way?
Who did they like best and why?
Who where the characters, where they the same or different?
What was the main point of the story?

Your interaction and support will make a world of difference in your child's success in reading and life. Keep up the hard work!
