Eligibility is for 3rd, 4th, 5th graders.
Students learn how to play chess and how this game can positively impact academics. Students also learn how to play forms of chess (Chinese, Doubles and practice with specific chess pieces.)
Chee Dodge holds a chess tournament each year for 3rd, 4th, 5th grade students who want to play the game.
2005 chess champion is Gerald King, 1st Runner up, Bandon Buck, 2nd Runner up, Octavius Atene.
