During the spring of the year all fifth grade students participate in track practice Monday through Thursday to prepare for the annual district wide 5th grade track meet. The track meet is held in May at the Public School Stadium. Students are able to participate in three events. Events are separate for girls and boys. The field events include the tug of war, long jump, softball throw for the girls, and shot put for the boys. The running events are the 400 meter relay, 50 meter, 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter races.
