Chee Dodge Elementary School is involved with the National Spelling Bee contest, which is held each year in Washington D.C. Students from throughout the country compete each year for the coveted title of "Spelling Bee Champion". Our Spelling Bee sponsor commits a lot of time and effort to helping our participants prepare for the competition. They coach and instruct the participants to learning the definitions and meanings of various words. This competition is open to 4th, 5th grade students. Students compete within the school and the top qualifiers are then selected to compete in the District, State, and eventually on the National level. With hard work and dedication any child can become the next National Spelling Bee Champion.
