
Checkout Policy
1. The office shall not allow any student to be checked out after 2:15 p.m.
a. All parents shall sign out their child (grades K-5) and obtain a check-out slip at the office before coming to a classroom.
b. Any changes in home transportation shall be reported to the office by parent/guardian with a written note or phone call by 2:20 p.m.
c. Students will not be allowed to call home to make arrangements to go home unless an emergency has taken place.
Dismissal Policy
1. The homeroom teacher will escort all A+ students to the cafeteria and "pick up" students to the library. Remaining students will be escorted to the buses. A list of pick up students will be kept in the library. These students can be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. after the buses leave.
2. End of the Day dismissal procedures will be recorded on the bus roster.
a. A parent/guardian may not take a student out of line without notifying the teacher; this will be recorded on the bus roster.
b. Duty personnel will supervise the students waiting to be picked up in the library and A+ students in the gym.
Children will NOT be allowed to wait outside the school or play on the playground.
3. Homeroom teacher will place bus roster in their HR box at the end of the day. If a child is not picked up by 3:00 p.m., he/she will be escorted to the appropriate A+ classroom.
4. A+ staff will be responsible for the supervision of afterschool students when they have been picked up from the cafeteria.
